Sandeep Ghosh, who had voluntarily resigned as Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital citing "moral responsibility," has been appointed as the Principal of National Medical College.
His resignation from RG Kar came in the wake of the tragic rape and murder of a post-graduate trainee doctor, which sparked widespread protests and led to significant administrative changes within the hospital.
Ghosh's resignation was seen as a step taken under immense pressure following the incident, with Ghosh stating, "I can't be humiliated anymore."
